Tooling Division

Hyde Group Limited has many years of experience of the project management, design, production and support aspects of Aircraft Tooling.

Our first Toolmaking Company was established in 1968.

By 1981, the European trend towards Turnkey, project managed tooling supply led to the creation of Hyde Group Limited.

This became our customer’s principle point of entry to Hyde Group’s Tool Design, NC Programming and Tool Manufacture companies (then employing 180 personnel).

Since 1984, the development of this Turnkey supply service has been substantial, as has the growth in sophistication and size of our products and capacity.

Today, the tooling Division employs over 700 personnel and provides in house:

• Project Management
• Manufacture Engineering
• Design
• NC Programming
• Fabrication and Manufacture
• Installation and First Article Support.

The scope of our tooling capabilities range from Automated Assembly systems including robotic integration and Bespoke machine tool design and manufacture Major Assembly jigs, Sub assembly, minor assembly and all facets of detail tool manufacture from simple rubber and fluid press tooling to sophisticated lay-up tools and super plastic form tools.

Design and manufacture of Aircraft Ground equipment, Test equipment and high specification clean room facilities for the assembly of delicate electronic and mechanical assemblies such as Mass Spectrometers are further recent developments within our tooling division.
