As an Inspector, you’ll be involved in both the intermediate and final inspection of sheet metal parts.

Essential skills:

·Experience of using manual tools such as; Verniers, Callipers, Micrometres, Gauges, etc.

·Experience of inspecting sheet metal parts, both intermediate and final inspection

·Time served with a recognised qualification such as City and Guilds or BTEC

·Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret customer specs

Desirable skills:

Working within a team of 4 people in a large open plan office. This is a very busy position within the Admin team. You will be numerate with excellent computer skills (spreadsheet/excel experience a must) and ideally you will have worked within an office before. Your duties will include answering the telephones, excellent telephone manner is required as you will be dealing with queries from our Suppliers as well as our Directors and staff at sites.

Typing letters and documents on a daily basis.

Collating employee’s information and updating spreadsheets.ie Drivers Declarations, Hire vehicles etc.

Matching and batching invoices and inputting them onto the Sap system.

Ordering and serving Directors Lunches on a daily basis.

Filing Photocopying and brewing up.

You will be based at the Stalybridge office. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8.45am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.45 am to 4.00pm

  •   To compile First Article Inspection Reports and ensure they comply to the AS9100 standard

Essential Skills

About the opportunity

This exciting role would involve you playing a key part in continuous process conformity. You’ll be performing routine and non-routine laboratory tests to ensure that our surface treatments and process solutions meet our customer standards and recording, analysing and interpreting results to your senior manager. 

Naturally, you will have strong Health and Safety knowledge and an excellent understanding of quality control standards.  You will also use your experience to coach your junior colleagues. 

Essential Skills

It is essential that you will have a proven track record of working within a busy surface treatment laboratory. You will also have excellent knowledge of surface treatment chemistry and effluent systems.

Desirable Skills

As we are NADCAP accredited, you’ll have a good working knowledge of the standard
