Internal Auditor

An exciting opportunity has become available at our Head Office (Hyde Central Services Ltd) within our Internal Audit team for an Internal Auditor. This role has become available due to a member of the team moving onto our accounts department.

 Job Description:

 The Hyde Group of Companies is made up of approximately 30 companies throughout Tameside & Stockport with a few based further afield.  The Internal Audit Team are responsible for ensuring all our Group Companies adhere to commercial and financial procedures and are directly accountable to the Main Board of Directors.

 This role requires the successful candidate to accompany the current Internal Audit Supervisor on visits to all our sites to carry out commercial and financial procedure checks in several of the business areas.  Checks will need to be completed on various company documents such as:

  • Purchase Invoices /Purchase Orders

  •   Stock

  •   Customer Orders Sales Invoices / Delivery Notes

  • Petty Cash

    After completion of all checks the candidate will return to head office and assist the Internal Auditor Supervisor to collate all findings in a report.

 As well as this routine element of Internal Audit there are also a number of Ad-Hoc audit checks / Accounts duties which will be carried out at Head Office

This exciting role will hold a bias towards Inspection, however will require multiple CI activity/ projects in parallel. Upon completion of said projects, you will be required to ensure the improvement activity is sustained.  Initially these projects include TPM, 5S/ Housekeeping, KPI writing, NPI and process improvement.

  • Approve incoming materials conform to specification
  •  Operate CMM and Faro arm using Camio and Polyworks software’s for all in-process product and final inspection
  •  Inspect product using conventional apparatus – bore gauge, thread gauge, shadowgraph etc.
  •  Support all FAIR activity, Including the use of Discus and when required completing AS9102 documents
  •  Support internal quality functions, such as data integrity and maintenance  of quality drives when required
  •  Support Material Review Boards when required
  •  Support the calibration process when required
  •  Attend meetings on behalf of Hyde Precision
  •  Design and Implement a comprehensive TPM system
  •  Support the NPI initiative
  •  Manage the KPI portfolio on a weekly basis
  •  Support all HSE activity
  •  Design and Implement a comprehensive 5S syste

Essential Skills

  •    You’ll be fully trained in the use of CMM and Faro Arm equipment
  •    Ability to read and interrogate aerospace drawings across civil and military platforms     
  •    Full understanding of aerospace drawings and specifications across Civil and Military platforms
  •    Experience of working with 3D Model Based definitions, Including understanding and interpreting  G,D & T       
  • Ability to use Microsoft office suite to a reasonable standard        
  •    Qualified to minimum City & Guilds      
  •   Experience of working within the industry      
  •  Willingness to learn and support other functions when required    
  •  Ability to work on own initiative, under pressure and to tight deadlines
  •   Experience of supporting or managing CI projects is a must

As a CNC miller you will have experience of operating a range of 4 and 5 axis horizontal milling machines with knowledge of Heidenhein and Siemens controls (or similar as training will be given)

You’ll also be able to read and interpret drawings for a variety of customers and materials

Naturally you will be a time served apprentice with a recognized qualification such as BTEC/City and Guilds.

Please note that this is a night shift position, working Monday-Thursday 8:00pm to 5.30am

This exciting role would involve you being responsible for CMM inspection of a wide range of component parts. You will be involved with both first off inspections and you’ll also be carrying out inspections on parts for a final release. You will use your experience to identify ways in which we can improve our inspection processes and contribute towards continuous improvement activities. 

Naturally, you will play a huge part in ensuring quality standards are in place and contribute towards Quality Improvement plans. 

 

Essential Skills

  • ·     You’ll be fully trained in the use of CMM equipment
  • ·     Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings
  •       Experience of using PCDMIS software
  • ·     You’ll be qualified to minimum City and Guilds

 

Desirable skills

·        Some programming experience would be beneficial
