As Quotations Engineer, you’ll take full responsibility for managing all quotation activity which will range from loading a new enquiry into the system to publishing a quotation directly to the customer. 

A customer focused individual, you’ll also be accountable for ensuring that quotations are submitted to customers on time every time, and be the direct point of contact for customer from order placement right through to delivery.

You’ll liaise with the production planner to determine suitable lead times and compile ready for approval and final submission to the customer and also manage and maintain the quotation order book. 

You will also use your experience to assess whether enquiries are suitable from both a commercial and technical perspective and support continuous improvement activity within the business.

 

Essential Skills

  •  A proven track record in an engineering environment
  •  A recognized engineering qualification
  •  Full understanding of aerospace drawings and specifications across civil and military platforms
  • Experience of working with 3 and 5 axis machines with hard and soft metal
  •  Strong commercial awareness with experience in a customer facing role
  • SAP experience
  • Advanced/intermediate Microsoft office skills

This exciting role would involve you being responsible for both in process inspection and final inspection, operating both CMM and Faro Arm machines.  You’ll also inspect our products using conventional instruments such as bore gauge, thread gauge.  You will also be required to support FAIR activity, completing form 3 documents as and when required. 

You’ll also use your experience to support internal driven quality sessions in order to improve the knowledge base of our skilled operators and support Material Review Boards when required.

Essential Skills

As a Sales Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in the growth of the company by seeking out new business opportunities and ensuring that there is a pipeline to deliver the required growth.

You’ll be responsible for introducing our services and mechanical engineering solutions to perspective new customers and carry out customer visits using different types of media and material.   

You’ll liaise with the senior management team and use your experience to support with preparing bids for quotation.  You will also build strong relationships with existing customers to develop further business opportunities. 

Essential Skills

  •    Business Development Skills within a manufacturing environment
  •    Sales background within an engineering/manufacturing environment either as a sales          manager or sales engineer

Expeditor

This exciting role would involve you playing a major part on in ensuring that goods are delivered to customers on time to our customers, keeping them informed and monitoring work against tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.   You will check in with the shop supervisor, providing daily reports to the production team and attending daily meetings to discuss progress

Naturally, you’ll ensure that parts are delivered in in line with customer specification and quality control standards.  As an Expeditor, you’ll also deal with any concerns and queries that customers have and liaise with our production team to get these resolved.   You will also be a confident communicator, capable of delegating tasks with a mindset of seeing things through to completion.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience of production scheduling/expediting in a manufacturing environment
  • Customer focused
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills, especially Excel.
  • Have the ability to achieve delivery date set targets and work towards 100% delivery scheduled adherence

Essential skills

CNC Miller

A position for a CNC Miller has become available at one of our busy manufacturing sites in Reddish near Manchester.

Candidates must be able to program and use Heidenhain systems, read, interpret and machine to engineering drawings for a wide variety of customers and materials. This role would be ideal for a time served tool room CNC Miller but some training may be provided depending on the candidate’s skillsets.

This is a permanent full time position with a basic 36 hour week with lots of overtime available at management’s discretion.
