This exciting role would involve you carrying out the final release process on aircraft parts before they are delivered to the customer.  This will include but is not limited to ensuring the quantity and batch numbers are correct, following quality procedures such as ensuring the ident matches the part number and certificate of conformance, customer approvals have been followed and a visual inspection of the part.  You will also raise a non-conformance if the part is found to be incorrect. 

You will also support with general stores activity such as Goods Receipt, kitting and packing.

As an Inspector, you’ll be involved in both the intermediate and final inspection of sheet metal parts.

Essential skills:

·Experience of using manual tools such as; Verniers, Callipers, Micrometres, Gauges, etc.

·Experience of inspecting sheet metal parts, both intermediate and final inspection

·Time served with a recognised qualification such as City and Guilds or BTEC

·Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret customer specs

Desirable skills:

·Previous Aerospace Experience

·Current certified inspector licence highly desirable

·Familiarity with AS9100 quality standard

·First Article experience in line with AS9102

·Basic understanding of aerospace materials and treatments

·Experience in preparation of inspection plans

·SAP knowledge

As an Airframe Fitter, you will be involved with the assembly of our core product working with a variety of metallic structures.  You’ll perform all assembly operations in line with our Standard Operating Procedures, whilst working to the approved quality standards.

You’ll also use your experience to support internal driven quality sessions in order to improve the knowledge base of our skilled operators and support Material Review Boards when required. 

You will be passionate about Quality standards and be willing to learn and grow through the business. 

 

Essential Skills
